Hi Sec 3s, I don't know how to break this to you and I thought this way is the best option instead of verbally.
So here goes,

There will be no residential march dance camp 2010.

Yes, don't be too shocked.
I think Chermain will explain at a later date.

It will just be 2 days of day camp, 8am to 8pm.

Hi everyone :> Today 9 of us met up outside audi, 845am and we managed to do the following:

We split the dance into 11 'parts', being

1) Music box 00:00 to 00:20

2) Day A 00:20 to ~00:44

3) Day B ~00:44 to 01:33

4) Transition 01:39 to 01:52
5) Beat 01:52 to 02:00

6) "OH WHY" 02:00 to 02:33

7) Silent part 02:34 to 02:50

8) Instrumental 02:50 to 02:58

9) Aaa, aa, aamen 02:58 to 03:35

10) *GASP* at 03:37

11) "Amen" at the end

Song ends at 03:49 including a pause.

Try to familiarise yourselves with the names like "transition", "instrumental" etc, so that when we use the term "transition", the response won't be "what is that part".

We marked out the overall scene on-stage for Day A and Day B by listening to the music and making funny markings!
Clare began on costume designs for the dolls and will be trying to complete for all toys by next friday. Jiayou clare quah!!!
Hilary and Yuxin and collated all our ideas for Day A and B onto black and white (more like blue and white) and I'll bring on mon to show everyone!
Ellen and Chermaine came up with the finalised concept for the Silent Part and choreographed with some holes left, 02:32 to 02:50; along with Karyan Yuxin Hilary, what this scene will look like has been confirmed and tried out!
Cheryl and Haoqing have choreographed from 02:58 to 03:07 for the Aaa, aa, aamen part and Ellen Chermaine Yuxin Karyan Hilary Jermaine Clare have all learnt it and it is really really crazy hiong!!

1 batch dance, 1 finale, 1 of laoshi's item (either contemp1 or contemp2), 1 other (hiphop or halo)
As laoshi will takes turns to choreo/teach contemp1 and contemp2 groups, we have to really cooperate with her and do our best!
When it is contemp1's turn with laoshi, contemp 2 will be doing up batch dance/ practicing other dances (hiphop/ halo)

We started with a circletalk with whole nymd, decided on dance night title and subtitle! Reminded sec 1s how unbelievably and wearesojealous-ly blessed to be able to do 2 items within their first 5 months in nymd!!!!
Split up to work on batch dances. We're officially done with 20 SECONDS. Reconfirmed item list with sec 4s and laoshi (see above). Did Halo for Mrs TYH and laoshi. Dismissed! Discussed little present for Ms Goh's 4 day old daughter!

We need to choreograph 45 seconds of BATCH DANCE '10 by ext friday to showcase to laoshi.
Which means conceptualizing will be rounded up and made sure of tmr, (get your brain juices squeezing!!) and then choreography will begin. JIAYOU CLOWNS PUPPET DOLLS MAGICIANS!!!!!!!!

Basically what happened today to stir your excited emotions:
WE FINALLY GOT OUR NYMD TEE.
Is that not eye-catching enough??? :D I'll check with chermain whether we can wear it as a sch-based tee this friday, cny celebration. If not, what the heck we can still wear in on mon and fri, and the next mon and the next fri and the next next mon and the ----------------------------------------. And about sitting tgt on friday, when we know the schedule for lunch then I'll sms you guys what time we meet so we bao zheng sit tgt!!! :) Front? Back? (of hall)

Today we also choreographed the first part of batch dance 2010!!!!! As for the title of batch dance, we tentatively set it on Masquerade the last time we discussed, but today the puppets (ky, cheryl, hq, xy) came up with Plaster / Plastered. So we'll discuss the next time and confirm asap so we don't need to call it "batch dance". HAHAHHA!! Really wanna say great job all toys cos ls seemed pretty happy with just the first 10-20 seconds!!! Jiayou everyone and keep the crazyspiritwehadtoday high ok!

For people who are in charge of collecting + returning CDs, remember to also return/ collect the Heineken portable stereo! Place neatly back at the TV/ DVD rack. If Chen Li Li is there, greet her. It is also your responsibility to remember to eject the CD from the stereo before returning it.

wow the last day of this year 2009..which marks 2 years being with every single one of you. frankly speaking, this year has been awesome.

Found some feedbacks from the net through google.
Feast yourselves.

Firstly, http://glenlct.livejournal.com/ (some HCJC dancer?)

The performance that left me most impressed was the nanyang modern item followed by R(I)JC modern. Both items happened to be a blend of lyrical and contemoporary
dance. And my love for lyrical hiphop never dies. Anyway, the dancers from
nanyang modern had the same hairstyle---short hair. Which is very cool.

Secondly, shiyan :D!!

Apologise rocked again! yayyyyyyyyy. hahaha. never felt so proud in my life when
i heard people say it was gooooooooooood (and impressive) (: wahahha. nymd
BTFABTAO!

APOLOGIZE TOTALLY ROCKED THE STAGE OKAY (: me and
chermain almost cried while we watched it hahah :D We were screaming and
(squealing) and squeezing each other's hands like crazy cause we were so nervous

Inspire is a student-initiated project aimed at raising awareness and funds for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. The SPMF was initiated in 2000 to heighten public awareness of the plight of children from low-income families. These children often do not have enough pocket money to sustain their day in
school or have proper meals.

Thus, the School Pocket Money Fund works to ease the financial burden that
these parents face in providing for their childrenâ€™s education.Our 10,000
beneficiaries are given at least $1 a day depending on their situation, which
they rely upon to pay for bus fares and warm meals at recess. Your contribution
will be especially significant at this time of bleak economic outlook.

This year, the Inspireâ€™09 team will be working with thousands of volunteers from various schools to raise money and awareness for the School Pocket Money Fund, through activities such as street sales, charity run, and fundraising concerts. In particular, we are organizing a total of 3 concerts featuring an exciting
display of talents by local arts groups.

Few issues to talk about.

1) Karyan and Clare, I need your excuse letters for not coming for dance prac today (saturday), thanks! :)

2) SYF REHEARSAL AT UCC on SUNDAY @ 730pm
We will be starting the rehearsal at 7.30pm, so i think we ought to be there by about 7.15?
I'm not sure if I'll be going for dinner with you guys before that but if you want, we can meet at CLEMENTI MRT STATION at about 6.15pm (leaving grace for late comers :3)?
Most importantly, don't you dare forget to bring your EZYLINK/ IDENTIFICATION (!!!)
Be dressed in leotards and jazzpants when dancing but before that, its up to you. Remember WHITE CLOTH AND PINS.
In short:
-leotards
-jazz pants
-white cloth, pins
-ezylink

3) Dance camp
Just a reminder in case anything was unclear, there will be as per normal dance training on march hols monday, 16/03, from 2-5pm.
Residential dance camp will be wed-thurs (18, 19/03). Report to nygh at 8am on wed, and we will break camp at 5pm on thurs. Don't forget to pack your stuff, though i don't really know what they are haha :D

4) Saturday Trainings
Sat trainings are compulsory! They are like mon / fri pracs without lao shi. As in, they are official, excuse letters/ MC/ valid reason are required if absent for non-school based events (like checkup, dental, etc.)
Please try to make it as syf is coming really soon, unless you really can't!

5) Week 9 (lsc week) training
I'm still not sure about whether there is training on mon/ fri of next week. Kelly hasn't confirmed yet. I think she will tell us on sunday @ UCC.

6) Week 10 training
There is NO training on week 10 monday (since there is no school ^^)
There WILL be training on that friday, however. As per normal!

7) FDL "BEG YOUR PARDON"
As of now, all of us (16) have confirmed that we will be going. So just a double check check that we are. Please refer to the email that I sent you guys for details. It will be march 13, friday, 8pm.(after training we will make our way there) Same place as last time!!

8) Just a reminder..
For normal cca time, mon and fri, a VALID REASON is needed if you don't come for prac. Including an excuse letter or MC. Only school based events (like for example, sec 3's EESIP test, or like IVP Launch) that have got to do with a teacher (not like, OM self meetings etc) are excused with no need of letter. :)

i think we shld meet up n...prac
not to the extreme of everyday but occasionally cos for thos who have third lang,
only once a week, which is sad
so i propose we meet up once twice a week to prac, 练。
mayb can use that time to teach us mon dances ( hint hint )
or mayb not.

Okay finalised details for batch gift etc.
IMPORTANT for sec one batch!

Our pretty batchgift will be
1. Powerpoint on HFOS and MD ;D
(Meet chermaine on MSN to get the first copy, undone!
If you wanna add in photos/ vids etc, rename as SEASONS OF LOVE -your name)

2. Hat with stars:
{This is slightly complicated;
It'll be this stuff-toyed spongy top hat (like michy mouse one)
That ellen and rachels and maybe jermaine will go scout for:D
And hopefully its tall and black.
Then we will fill it with pretty paper stars!
So EACH person is entitled to fold TWENTY stars.
Please tell someone, anyone! if you dunno how to!
And!
It'll be in a paper bag,
That's wrapped in gold/silver paper,
And based with streamers, small beads, and STARS!<3}

YEA, that'll be it.
ONE MORE THING!
